BIO:

My name is April Brucker. I dumped an originally from a little town outside of Pittsburgh called Bethel Park. I’m an comedian, writer and ventriloquist who lives in Las Vegas with her 36 puppets. We have been featured on My Strange Addiction. I have three books published all available on Amazon. My BFA is from NYU Tisch (Strasberg and Stonestreet) and my MFA from Antioch Los Angeles (Creative Writing/Screenwriting). I am a member of SAG-AFTRA and have been seen on several TV shows in the US and overseas. Oh and I love my dogs and long walks on the beach.

Interview Series

1. If you could live out your WILDEST dream with no fear of failure, what would you be doing?


My wildest dream without fear of failure would be for my puppets and I to take over the world. We want to be on your TV screen, radio, movie theatre and any stage in your town.

2. What is the most memorable, funniest, or craziest thing that has happened to you on your entertainment journey?

I was the special guest star in an all female revue in Las Vegas and May Wilson, my partner and I sang Mr. Sandman. One guy was so drunk he turned to his wife and exclaimed, “Wow! The puppet sings!”

3. Congratulations! You just hit the lottery for 100 million dollars! What do you spend it on?

If I won the lotto I would spend it on new clothes or trunks for my puppets, pay off some of my grad school loan, shoot a TV special with my puppets and make a sizable donation to both Ali Fornay House and RAINN.

4. Do you have any hidden talents or party tricks?

I am a ventriloquist but I can also TJGL. I performed it on ABC’s Videos After Dark with Bob Saget. (RIP)

5. What advice would you give to your younger self?

SLOW DOWN, it’s a marathon not a sprint.

6. Who, in the entertainment industry, do you love that you think more people should know about? Why? Shout them out and spread the love!

Mentalist Alain Nu who has worked in Las Vegas and has been seen on TLC and The World Famous Ink Spots who prove that you can be hip across generational lines.
